About This Project
The application of photography had driven painting techniques to evolve against realism, in which Pointillism is a common style. However, Bayer Matrix, basing on a similar theory brought the painting technique back to photography again.
This history changes my cognition of the world and has me thinking about the methodology of human beings for viewing and recording the objective world. I painted 45 photos in the form of Bayer Matrix dithering as an experimental visual diary, recording my creative mood and reflections every day.
Through this project, I hope to explore the secret of “Matrix Pointillism”, the boundaries and possibilities of painting and photography.
